AT&T Debuts New Retail Store Design in Washington, D.C.

Posted by AT&T Newsroom

Designed for an Evolution in Connected Entertainment

AT&T debuted a new almost 9,000 square foot entertainment-focused retail store at Gallery Place. The newly designed store helps get your hands on the entertainment content you want anytime, anywhere and on any device.

The new store design reflects the changing ways our customers use their mobile devices for entertainment. In the last year alone, video traffic on our network grew over 75%. In our new store, you can interact with content across many different screens and find the best video, internet and wireless options available from AT&T. We expect this design concept to reach approximately 35 stores this year.

“At the DC Chamber, our goal is improve the business climate in the District, doing what we can to support existing businesses and attract new ones. Congratulations to AT&T on 10 years in Chinatown. This newly redesigned store is great for your customers – and for our community,” said Vincent Orange, president and CEO of the Washington, DC Chamber of Commerce.

Some key features of the new store format are:

  • Entertainment, everywhere. Our new stores illustrate the intersection of content and connection. We train our reps to show how services, like DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW and products can add value to your connected life.
  • Smartphones and more. We’ve moved the phones off the walls to the center of the store to make it easier to compare and choose what’s best for you. We also have two focus areas to show the most popular brands that have products like AR glasses, tablets or smartwatches that work with your smartphone. We expanded our lineup of accessories, and we’ve made them easier to find.
  • A comfortable experience. We’ve designed these stores for you to have a personal connection with our reps and services. And we know selecting a phone, plan and sometimes adding TV and home broadband to your list takes longer than grabbing a shirt off the rack.  So we added comfortable areas where you and our reps can work together.

The newly designed store at Gallery Place is located at 785 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday.

More than $225 million invested by AT&T in its best-in-class wired and wireless networks in the District of Columbia from 2014-2016.
