William P. Leahy
AT&T President - Georgia & Southeast
In 2015, Bill Leahy was appointed President of AT&T Georgia and Southeast Region.
Leahy manages and directs AT&T’s legislative, regulatory and external affairs initiatives in nine southeast states.
He has over 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry, beginning his career as a management trainee with New England Telephone. Leahy has held various positions at AT&T companies in financial analysis, marketing, and government affairs management.
Leahy has served as a Trustee of Merrimack College, on the Board of Directors for the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, and the American Legislative Exchange Council. Currently, he serves on the Board of Governors for the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors for the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Merrimack College where he received the Presidential Scholar award. He received his MBA from the University of Massachusetts. Leahy has also been a Senior Lecturer of Mathematics at Boston University.
