4G LTE Expansion Will Give Customers Better Access to Mobile Internet
AT&T* has added a new cell site to its 4G LTE network in Truro to give customers faster, more reliable wireless service.
With 4G LTE, customers will have a better network connection while doing things like streaming videos, sharing on social media and texting family and friends.
We’re also boosting network reliability and capacity as we expand our network. These upgrades will also benefit public safety and first responders on FirstNet – public safety’s dedicated communications platform.
FirstNet is being built with AT&T in a public-private partnership with the First Responder Network Authority. It’s designed to help first responders in Iowa and across the country connect to the critical information they need – when they need it – so they can keep themselves and the communities they serve safer.

We’re committed to our networks in Iowa
From 2015–2017, we invested nearly $120 million in our Iowa wireless and wired networks. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for Iowans and their businesses.
In 2017, AT&T made more than 365 network enhancements across Iowa. This included new cell sites, the addition of network capacity and network upgrades. We are continuing our investments in our Iowa networks in 2018.
