This month, we are proud to announce AT&T* Fixed Wireless Internet¹ is now available in rural and underserved locations in parts of 51 counties in Kentucky.
Our Fixed Wireless Internet is a cost-effective way to deploy high-quality, high-speed internet to customers who are living in rural and unserved locations. In Kentucky, we plan to reach more than 84,000 locations with this innovative service by 2020, substantially closing the remaining connectivity gap.
The service delivers an internet connection with download speeds of 10Mbps or faster from a wireless tower to a fixed antenna on a customer's home or business in the FCC-identified census blocks. It is $60 per month standalone with a 1-year agreement and just $50 per month if bundled with another AT&T service.
Parts of the following 51 counties in Kentucky are now eligible for AT&T Fixed Wireless Internet service:
Once again, Kentucky is leading the way, welcoming innovation and investment and enhancing internet access in our rural communities.
And, the more than 2,700 AT&T employees who call Kentucky home are working hard every day to turn our investments into the high-speed connectivity Kentucky’s residents and businesses want and need.
