Paul Weirtz was named President of AT&T Minnesota in March 2013. As the president for AT&T Minnesota, Paul leads AT&T’s legislative and community affairs activities in the state and works closely with community leaders, legislators and other policy makers, as well as local and regional business leaders and customers. Paul recently celebrated 20 years with AT&T.
In 2017, Paul was instrumental in advocating for state legislation that streamlines the process for the deployment of small cell technology in Minnesota, paving the way for the next generation of wireless technology in the state. Paul was appointed by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton to a three-year term on the Governor’s Broadband Task Force in 2015. He also serves on the board of the Minnesota High Tech Association.
A native of Akron, Ohio, Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Masters of Public Administration from the University of Akron. He is an honorably discharged veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp Reserve.
Paul and his wife Mary and their two daughters currently reside in Bayport, Minnesota.
