$1.8 billion invested over 3 year period in local Missouri networksInvestments that we make in Missouri provide for faster, more reliable, highly secure connectivity for our community — and improve critical services that support public safety and first responders. That’s why we’ve invested nearly $ 1.8 billion in our Missouri wireless and wired networks during 2014-2016. 

In 2016, AT&T made 2,000 wireless network upgrades in Missouri, including new cell sites, expanded capacity at existing cell sites. Other notable Missouri network enhancements in 2016 included:

circleExpansion of AT&T Fiber ultra-fast internet footprint, which now reaches nearly 125,000 living units in the Kansas City metro and more than 75,000 in the St. Louis metro.

circle Upgrades to the Distributed Antenna Systems at Busch Stadium in St. Louis and Faurot Field in Columbia.

circleDeployment of Cell on Wheels mobile cell towers for dozens of special events, including the Presidential Debate in St. Louis, St. Louis Mardi Gras, Kansas City’s Rockfest, the Missouri State Fair and Marian Days.

The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) recently chose AT&T to build a nationwide public safety broadband network. The network will be dedicated to America’s police, firefighters, EMS personnel and other first responders when they need it. Should Missouri opt in to the FirstNet network, we will build upon our current and planned investments with a dedicated focus on the state’s first responders.
