Veterans Day is a day of reflection. Reflecting on our country’s past. Reflecting on where we are today. And, most importantly, reflecting on those who fought for our freedoms.
AT&T has a long history of supporting our military. We’ve committed to hiring 20,000 veterans by the year 2020. In Nevada, we have an employee resource group, AT&T Veterans – Nevada Chapter, comprised of employees and retirees dedicated to serving our veteran and military community right here at home.
We also continue to support our First Responders by using our talents to construct a public safety broadband network called FirstNet designed to connect emergency personnel in new ways.
In Reno, we are supporting the Nevada Veterans Memorial project at their annual November dinner. The vision for the Nevada Veterans Memorial plaza is to establish a permanent location that honors the legacy of our fallen military statewide since Nevada’s statehood. In Las Vegas, we were proud to support the Nellis/Creech Military and Veterans Appreciation Day to honor the sacrifices and dedication of the men and women who serve our nation and community.
On Veterans Day and every day, we are thankful for our service members.
Join us this Veterans Day in thanking our heroes for their bravery and sacrifices.
To join us in thanking a veteran or military family, share a photo, video or a simple note of gratitude on social media using #ThankOurHeroes.
We are proud to join our voices together with a message to veterans: thank you for your service!
