All of us have had jobs that, looking back, were special for one reason or another. Serving as president of AT&T North Carolina has been one of those for me. Quite simply, the past five years have been even more rewarding and fulfilling than this native North Carolinian could have ever imagined.

With your support, we have helped grow North Carolina’s economy by encouraging investment while also assisting educational initiatives that opened doors of opportunity for our youth — tomorrow’s leaders — across this great state.

So it is with mixed emotions that I prepare to assume a new position, effective December 1, as the state president of Georgia.

On one hand, I am excited about the opportunity to build on AT&T’s long history of investing in Georgia, helping create jobs and stimulating innovation in urban and rural communities across the state. On the other, I see how bright North Carolina’s future is, with numerous opportunities ahead as AT&T continues to invest in innovative technologies — constantly evolving to address our customers’ needs.

Thank you, again, for making a difference for North Carolina — and for letting me be a part of your efforts. It has been my honor to work with you.

Sincerely,

Venessa Harrison
President — AT&T North Carolina
