4G LTE Expansion Will Give Customers Better Access to Mobile Internet
AT&T* added two new cell towers to its 4G LTE network in Tioga County to give customers faster, more reliable wireless service.
Our new Duncan cell site serves the Route 287 corridor south of Wellsboro, as well as areas of Antrim, Brownlee, Broughton Hollow, Coolidge Hollow and Knapp in the Duncan and Delmar Township areas of Tioga County. Our new Tioga cell site serves Tioga, as well as the Route 15 corridor south of Tioga through the Tioga Reservoir.
Our investment will help customers get the most out of their mobile devices. With 4G LTE service, customers will experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends.
“These new sites also will keep the area’s first responders better connected and will help with local economic development. We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.” —J. Michael Schweder, president, AT&T Mid Atlantic States
“We want our customers to have a great experience. They’ll be able to download, upload, stream and play games faster than ever before on our 4G LTE network— which is the nation’s largest and most reliable**,” said J. Michael Schweder, president, AT&T Mid Atlantic States. “These new sites also will keep the area’s first responders better connected and will help with local economic development. We’re always working to provide better coverage. And we’re investing in our wireless network to accomplish that.”
“Whether you’re starting or growing a business or planning a trip to Tioga County to check out the fall foliage, mobile broadband coverage is very important. We’re excited that AT&T is investing in Tioga County to keep our residents, first responders and visitors connected,” said State Rep. Clint Owlett.
By building out our 4G LTE network, we’re laying the foundation for 5G, the next advance in network technologies. We’re boosting network speeds and capacity, as we continue to expand the availability and capacity of our network using the latest technology.
