The Virginia Asian Foundation has a program that offers internships, mentoring opportunities, scholarships, and workforce-training for Asian Pacific Islanders students in Virginia. The Foundation will expand its reach in Fairfax, Richmond, and Virginia Beach with the help of a $25,000 contribution from AT&T.
Tinh D. Phan, chairman of the Virginia Asian Foundation, announced AT&T’s support during the Foundation’s annual gala in Richmond.
“Virginia Asian Foundation is committed to helping Virginia develop our future talent. With AT&T’s support, we will help our Asian American workforce develop leadership and jobs skills that will help sustain Virginia‘s economic vitality into the future,“ Phan said.
Vince Apruzzese, AT&T’s regional vice president for External Affairs in Virginia, made the announcement during the event.
“We work with organizations like the Virginia Asian Foundation to help prepare the next generation of Virginia’s business and technology leaders. Our support will help equip more young people in Virginia with the tools they need to succeed,” Apruzzese said.
